  • OSF Saint Francis Centers for Breast Health will hold a health fair at the Breast Center at the Center for Health on Route 91 on October 8, 2009 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.   The health fair will also offer the opportunity for a bone density screening, blood pressure check, breast health, heart health, and nutrition and weight management information.  If transportation is needed, it will be available, free from two locations:  The International Grocer at 706 NE Perry and Grace Baptist Church at 405 North Richard Pryor Place.  For more information, visit www.osfsaintfrancis.org or call (309) 683-5522. 
  • OSF Saint Francis is pleased to announce that Robert J. Degitz, RN, BSN recently attained CCRN certification from the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.  Additionally, Jacquie M. Kauffman, RN has been named Clinical Nurse Educator for the Physical Rehabilitation Care Unit.

  • Clifton, Gunderson, ranked as one of the nation's largest certified public accounting and consulting firms, today announced the following: Rachel Holliger, senior associate, earned her CFIRS (Certified Fiduciary & Investment Risk Specialist) designation from Cannon Financial Institute.  Jason Smith, senior associate, earned his CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) designation from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Central Illinois chapter. 
  • PSA-Dewberry congratulates the following people on recently becoming Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professionals:  Tracy Herrmann, Dan Homann, Brett Pudik, and Doug Wirth. 
  • The Tenth Annual Mammogram-A-Thon will be held at Proctor Hospital on Friday, October 16th.  Appointments are available from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  Refreshments will be served.  Call 691-1007 for more information.

  • The Counseling Center at Proctor Hospital will present "Your Relationship Wants You" on Wednesday, october 28th from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in Classroom III of the Proctor Professional Building.  Call 689-6008 to register. 
  • Nurses at Methodist Medical Center have completed advanced training and educational requirements to earn specialized nursing credentials.  Those nurses include:  Brad Robinson, RN; Amy Smith, RN; Deb Dellinger, RN; Shawna McCord, RN; Cindy Hale RN, Monica Scheurer, RN, and Jeremy Winget, Nurse Practitioner.
  • Methodist Medical Group has added three new physicians:  Bojan Pavlovic, M.D., Chris Miles, M.D., and Jill Wirth, M.D.

  • Congratulations to Barrack's Hospitality Group for receiving a ranking on Inc. Magazine's 500/5000 annual ranking!  Barrack's Hospitality Group reigned in at no. 104 in the Inc. 500 Food & Beverage category, no. 4314 in the overall Inc. 5000 list!
  • Congratulations to Mike Cullinan, owner/CEO of R A Cullinan and Son, Inc. for receiving the 2009 Distinguished Citizen Award at the W.D. Boyce council dinner.  Mike received the award for his extraordinary entrepreneurial leadership through Central Illinois. 
  • Cracked Pepper Bakery and Catering was recently reviewed by Jennifer Towery of the Journal Star for their Dining Out section of the newspaper and received 3 to 3 1/2 stars with 4 stars being the highest. This rating shows that Cracked Pepper Baker and Catering is all that it's cracked up to be.  Congratulations to Travis and staff!
  • RSM McGladrey honored as one of Working Mother's 100 Best Company's earns Best-In-Class for WorkLife Flebixility!  This is the third time RSM McGladrey has been named to this prestigious list!
