What is unique about your operation?  We are constantly bringing fresh and exciting games onto the casino floor and take pride in being the first in the area to feature many just released, themed machines. Another exciting addition to the casino is the live Texas Hold’em poker tables. Now guests can play this popular game at the Par-A-Dice, too.

We consistently look for ways to keep the casino offering fresh and up to date and continue to plan other projects for the future to keep with this trend.

Par-A-Dice has been honored with several awards/recognitions. A few of these include “Best in the Midwest”, East Peoria Company of the Year from the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce, Friend of Tourism Award from the Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, Best Hotel Peoria Area from the Hospitality Association (HOIHA), Best Restaurant Boyd’s Steakhouse, by the Hospitality Association and PACE Taste of Peoria and countless “Best Of” awards issued by Casino Player Magazine.

Par-A-Dice’s community involvement and philanthropic endeavors are a very important to our company. We provide monetary contributions to over 100 different organizations in the region each year, working closely with organizations that are at the heart of caring in our community in education, medical, social services and more. We quietly support these organizations throughout the year in whatever way we can to help them achieve their goals. Tax revenues generated by Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino have played a major role in the economic development in East Peoria and Peoria as well. Tax revenues generated by Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino are split equally between the cities of East Peoria and Peoria going into general funds to help in development in each community. This tax sharing averages $4 million per year to each community.

Our team members are very active in the community including our corporate wide fundraising for United Way which goes on throughout the year. In addition, our leadership team is active on many boards. A few of these organizations are East Peoria Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors, American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Boys and Tri-County Urban League, Center for Prevention of Abuse, Heart of Illinois Hospital Association, Chefs Association.

What recent news release about your business would you like to share? Recent news releases include Hotel ballroom remodel completion, several check presentations to local charities, sponsorship announcements for new community events.

How long in business:  Par-A-Dice first opened in November 1991 in Peoria, IL and later moved to East Peoria in 1993. Par-A-Dice was acquired by Boyd Gaming Corporation in 1996. The property was Boyd Gaming's first casino in the Midwest, and its acquisition marked a key step in Boyd's evolution into a national casino operator. Today the company is one of the nation's largest casino operators, with 16 casinos in Nevada, New Jersey, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana and Mississippi.
