Did you read the article in the March 15th sports section of the Journal Star?  The article was about the Greater Peoria Sports Hall of Fame/Induction Ceremony which was highlighted by renewals of the Manual-Central football rivalry.  In 1974, the Turkey Day game, the Central Lions won 17-14.  However, Manual players aren't convinced the Lions won that game, the first between the schools after the end of the traditional Turkey Day contests.  Barry Moton (Manual) still contends that "Manual got cheated in that game because Greg Dentino scored.  They said that his knee went down, but it wasn't his knee.  It was his hand."  One of the players credited with stopping Dentino was Chuck Gabbert!  Click the link below if you would like to read the entire article.  http://www.pjstar.com/sports/x99749458/There-are-no-turkeys-on-this-day
